87th Thessaloniki International Fair _ Event of Interreg Programmes 2014-2020 & 2021-2027: Continuity and Progress

Good practices that emerged through projects funded by the Interreg Programmes "Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020" and "Balkan-Mediterranean 2014-2020" were highlighted at an event of the Managing Authority of Interreg 2021-2027, held in the context of the 87th International Fair of Thessaloniki, with the participation of representatives of the Greek and Bulgarian national authorities, as well as the Consulate of Bulgaria in Thessaloniki, represented by Mr. Vladimir Inkov.



The event opened with the presentation of the role of the Managing Authority Interreg 2021-2027 by Ms. Maria Nezeriti, head of the Managing Authority, who developed the goals and perspectives of the Interreg Programmes.



Detailed presentations were made by the beneficiaries of the co-financed projects:  the Region of Central Macedonia presented the project "Flood Protection" of the "Greece-Bulgaria" programme, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki presented the project "BIOPROSPECT" and the Hellenic Investment Company and Eq. Emporio – Enterprise Greece presented the “GAZELLE” project, within the “Balkan – Mediterranean” programme.



Ms. Jenya Dinkova, Project Officer at the Joint Secretariat of the "Greece-Bulgaria" Programme presented the capitalization of Health projects  that were funded during the period 2014-2020.



The event was closed by Ms. Eva Karagianni, head of Unit A of the Managing Authoruty, with the presentation of the key points of the new programming period 2021-2027 of the "Greece-Bulgaria" programme.
