Virtual exhibitions - modern tools to promote the extroversion of agri-food products
 
The use of modern digital tools to promote the extroversion of the agri-food sector was highlighted at an event held on Monday for the presentation of the first pilot virtual exhibition GoInt Virtual FoodExpo, which will take place on 24-28 February 2023.
 
GoInt Virtual FoodExpo will take place at the link https://gointfoodexpo.vfairs.com/ and will host companies in the agrifood sector from Greece and Bulgaria.
 
This action is part of the GoInt project which is implemented in cooperation between the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Hellenic-Italian Chamber of Commerce and the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency, in the framework of the Cooperation Programme INTERREG V-A “Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020”.
 
The President of Northern Greece Committee of the German Hellenic Chamber of Industry and Commercem, Mr. Andreas Spyridis in his greeting stressed that it is important that actions such as this one support professionals of the agri-food sector in international exports, a key sector in the GDP of Greece, while he added that the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce has been supporting businesses and institutions of various sectors through electronic tools and platforms for a long time.

The Member of the Board of Directors of the Italian-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce in Thessaloniki, Mr. George Palisidis, delegated advisor for the agri-food sector, stressed that the project offers a great opportunity for extroversion to businesses in Greece and Bulgaria. In essence, he added, four European countries are working together to promote the products of these regions beyond Europe to receive the added value they deserve.

The guest speaker of the event, Mr. Anastasios Zafeiridis, representative of the Private Investment Directorate of the Ministry of Interior (Sector Macedonia and Thrace) informed the audience about the opportunities provided to investors by the new Development Law 4887/22 with emphasis on agri-food market. Furthermore, Mr. Zafeiridis presented the LOC-FOOD project which is an Interreg project coordinated by the Ministry, aiming at the development and promotion of local traditional agricultural food products.
 
The presentation of the e-Instrument of GoInt project for the promotion of international exports, was the closing speech in which there was a detailed description of how virtual exhibitions operate and the advantages of virtual events.
 
At the networking light lunch that followed, the participating companies had the opportunity to discuss with the experts about the most effective approach to extroversion actions, target-markets for exports and dynamics in international markets.
