The Young Men’s Christian Association of Thessaloniki organizes an Inauguration Ceremony for the new wing of the Basketball Museum and the Stadiums of Y.M.C.A. on Sunday, October 27th 2019 at 10:00 am. His Excellency the President of the Hellenic Republic Mr. Prokopios Pavlopoulos will honor the event with his presence.
The construction of the new wing of the Basketball Museum and of the stadiums was completed in the framework of the Project PROMO-YMC(H)A which was approved and is being implemented in the framework of the INTERREG V-A "Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020" Cooperation Programme by Y.M.C.A., the Department of Public Health - Health Care and Sports of South-West University “Neofit Rilski”, the Municipality of Kordelio - Evosmos and the Municipality of Razlog.
The Project PROMO-YMC(H)A aims to unite partners from Greece and Bulgaria with the belief that a better quality of life can be achieved through the protection and promotion of cultural heritage. Sports activities and sports history are part of heritage and a symbol of the cultural diversity of both societies.
The Inauguration Ceremony will take place at the Athletic Center of Y.M.C.A. Heron Mimis Tsikinas, 1 N. Germanou, 54621 Thessaloniki.
