Strategic Project "FLOOD PROTECTION": Final Conference

INVITATION

The Region of Central Macedonia is organizing the Final Conference of the strategic project “Flood Protection” that is financed by the Cooperation Programme Interreg V-A “Greece - Bulgaria 2014-2020”. The event will take place on Tuesday, November 21st, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 14:00 PM, at the Acropol Hotel in Serres (5th kilometer of Serres – Thessaloniki highway).

The “Flood Protection” project aimed, through cross-border co-operation between Greece and Bulgaria, at helping prevent and manage flood events in the catchments of Strymon/Struma and Evros/Maritza rivers.

During the Conference, results and deliverables of the project will be presented, as well as the main benefits obtained, regarding the increase of protection level against floods in the cross border area and especially in areas that are prone to flood phenomenas.
