Project E.VE.CR.I: Round table events in Ivaylovgrad and Svilengrad for business development

The sustainable use of electric vehicles, which will improve business development in Ivaylovgrad and Svilengrad, will be discussed during the final two round tables for Bulgaria of the cross-border project E.VE.CR.I.
The meetings with the regional business will be held on:
- Monday, December 5, 2022, in the town of Ivaylovgrad, in the Municipal Administration Building from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, December 6, 2022, in the town of Svilengrad, in the administrative building of the municipal administration from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The test drive of an electric car will be at the end of the meetings of the local representatives of SMEs with experts and other interested parties from Bulgaria and Greece. The meetings will be held under the motto "Building a sustainable future for local business and community through electric mobility".
Possible business models and solutions for small and medium-sized businesses are presented at each table of experts and the representatives of companies for the construction of charging stations for electric vehicles, which also explain the administrative steps and permits that need to be taken and obtained following the regulatory framework of both countries to install and operate charging stations.
Owners of hotels, restaurants, shops, and cafes, as well as representatives of other companies and firms that own parking spaces, are invited to the discussions. They can meet with the operators and investors present at the meetings to discuss the steps to install charging stations in the region. In this way, the construction of a network of 50 electric charging stations within the project by spring 2023 will be stimulated.
The lack of a continuously accessible, easy-to-use and widespread network of charging points is a question whose sustainable answer is given by the E.VE.CR.I project. As a result of the work on the project, the areas near the border, where many trips to the neighboring country take place, will be supported. This explains the primacy of the need to use the other party's charging network. Through the capabilities of the E.VE.CR.I project companies managing charging infrastructures, which are becoming established in Greece and Bulgaria, will be facilitated, similar to more advanced European countries.
Improved energy efficiency, reduced greenhouse gas emissions affecting air quality and quality of life, improving entrepreneurship in the cross-border region through sharing, partnership and mutual learning and creating a vibrant network of e-mobility advocates, as well as the development and expansion of the network of electric cars in the cross-border region are some of the advantages for the regions on both sides of the border.
