Project "CULTURAL DΙPOLE": Final Conference & Opening Event of the Contemporary Art Museum "Constantin Xenakis"

The Μayor of Serres Alexandros Chrysafis invites you to the opening ceremony of the Contemporary Art Museum «Constantin Xenakis» Saturday 14th of May 2022 at 12:00 «Konstantinos Karamanlis» Culture Park The Minister of Culture and Sports Lina Mendoni will honor the event with her presence.
The Museum of Contemporary Art "Konstantinos Xenakis Gallery" is established in the framework of the project "Cultural Dipole - Creation of a cultural dipole in the cross-border area" of the Cooperation Programme INTERREG V-A "Greece - Bulgaria 2014-2020".
The Museum is dedicated to the internationally renowned Greek artist Konstantinos Xenakis, who donated 171 works of all periods to the Municipality of Serres, envisioning the creation of a unique Museum in the city of Serres. Also, 13 works of the artist were donated to the Municipality by the professor of AUTh. Aristotelis Naniopoulos, while a smaller number of works were donated by other donors.
The vision of the pioneering artist became a reality after systematic and long-term efforts of the Municipal Authorities of Serres, the local civil society and of the Association Sereon Politeia Society, under the coordination of Professor A. Naniopoulos.
Marking the successful completion of the "Cultural Dipole" project, a final conference will be held on the same day at 9:30 am at the «Asteria» Municipal and Regional Theater of Serres.
