DG REGIO’s Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVY) initiative continues in 2021!

Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVY) is an initiative to support Interregand Cross-Border CooperationProgrammes and Projects. Promoted by the EuropeanCommission’s Directorate-General for Regional andUrban Policyand managed by the Association of European Border Regions (AEBR), IVY allows for the involvement of young people in projects of European Territorial Cooperation, Pre-Accession Assistance and Neighbourhood Cross-Border Cooperation Programmes.
Projects beneficiaries of Interreg, IPA-CBC and ENI-CBC can host a volunteer to support, promote and report achievements of cooperation. The volunteer will be part of your team, bring new ideas and help realisethe projectand advertise its results. Each experienceis of a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 6 months.
The application procedure is simple and AEBR looks for candidates thanks to the partnership with the European Solidarity Corps. AEBRfinancially supportsthe volunteer, coversthe insurance and helps the volunteer relocate.
Since March 2017, over 400 volunteers have joined IVY contributing to the visibility of projectsof cooperationall over Europe. Follow their stories at https://www.interregyouth.com/blog.
